The NorCal QRP Club is pleased to announce the availability of a limited run
of NorCal 2030 partial kits. The club did a run of 200 full kits, but found
that the labor involved was so intense, that it did not have the resources
to do another run. Rather than let the design die, we figured out a way to
offer the kit to those who missed it. We will provide the following components:
- Main PC Board
- Power Supply PC Board
- Both Maxim chips (extremely difficult to source in small quantities)
- AFA Programmed Chip
- Special NC2030 Keyer Chip
- #26, #30, #32 Magnet wire
- Custom coil form and hardware
- Case chassis (the bottom part with the holes predrilled). These were
the case bottoms that were misdrilled by TenTec. You will need to enlarge
4 holes, and you will need to drill 2 additional holes (drilling template
supplied). This case bottom is powder coated and silkscreened, and it is
simple to fold a top to fit, as you just need a "U" shaped top.
- Special 100pF through hole capacitor.
- Complete parts list with sources and part numbers will be placed on the
web page in excel format so that you can download for ordering the needed parts.
